Sneak Peek: Kitchen Countertop

When I watch all those design shows on HGTV, the best part is the Big Reveal! and not necessarily how they got there, which is of course interesting, but doesn't provide the "wow" factor. Well, here's the Big Reveal on the countertop! I'll do the in-depth analysis later on.

We have to wait a week before resuming normal use (specifically, putting heavy things on it, like the dish rack and coffeemaker) and then the real test will begin. We reserve the right to change our minds in the future. Time will tell!

    No, it's actually the same cabinets but they look so different now, right? Crazy! AND I've also realized that the brown door (on the left) isn't sticking out like a sore thumb anymore---the counters kind of match it! :-)

    wow! that looks great. The step by step is very interesting. Now we know why it costs so much to have the pros do these jobs. Looks great.
